Furthermore, a complex of modular buildings was acquired outright and is currently owned by
the community.

We must tear down our current
facility, build-in and then upgrade our modular complex so it will become a landmark of Carlsbad and
be a source of pride and inspiration to the Jewish people everywhere. Months have been spent refining
the plans and as our architect himself remarked, "You have put 10 pounds of groceries in a 5 pound bag!"
What he meant to say is that we have found a way to utilize every inch of our usable property and then
add such upgrades to the design and implementation that we will be able to accommodate and launch many
more programs including adult education and youth programs like; an expanded Hebrew school for children
and teenagers, senior programs, computer and internet programs, community dinners, Jewish entertainment
nights, Sunday's kosher BBQ and many more. We have gone to great lengths to make sure we maximize our
ability to serve the Jewish community.

What the Jewish Center at La Costa will offer the community is a place for traditional Jewish
prayer, a place for profound study of Judaism, a venue for joyous occasions like Bar Mitzvahs
and weddings, a place to enjoy fine dining over-looking the Pacific Ocean and Lagoon, a place
to meet one of our Rabbis for learning or counseling, and so much more. This center will be the
central pillar of Jewish life in this area for decades to come.

that our new home will actualize: We will practically triple our usable indoor area through the creative
use of space. We will increase the size of our sanctuary, which we will invest generously in, to make it
most stunning to behold and inviting to enter. We will add study rooms, a conference room/library, offices,
a gorgeous social hall, an inspiring breezeway, Biblical gardens, an outdoor deck with lagoon view for fine
dining, children's playground, state-of-the-art restrooms, and a fully loaded commercial grade kitchen
permitted for kosher catering.

renderings of the plans that were preliminarily reviewed and are now being submitted to the City of Carlsbad

included a complete list of opportunities. When our approvals do come from the City we will have to move
quickly to act upon them. We can do that only if you will step up to the plate now. With G-d's blessings and
your participation we can make this dream come true.
